» What is it?

Google Earth is a freeware program that combines the power of Google Search with satellite imagery, maps, terrain and 3D buildings to put the world's geographic information at your fingertips. By downloading the Windfinder kmz file you can view the locations of the weather stations and forecast spots from Windfinder as little markers in Google Earth. When clicking on a marker you will be directed to the corresponding wind report or forecast on the Windfinder website.

» Installation

  • Install Google Earth (if you don't have it yet).
  • Click the Windfinder kmz file to save it on your hard disk.
  • Open Google Earth and click "File" > "Open...". Select windfinder.kmz and the markers with all the weather station / forecast spots will appear in Google Earth
